Villa in Hindeloopen

When Diana Lautenbag was commissioned to design Villa Kop-Hals-Romp in Hindeloopen, the Netherlands, in 2011, the task was clear: combine the existing front house with the old barn, creating more living space and more opening to the outside world.

The newly created intermediate sections were to be kept as minimalist as possible. Large wood cladding with planar windows whose profiles are hidden as completely as possible in the superstructure. VEKA ARTLINE 82 was chosen - a convincing choice from both a technical and aesthetic point of view.

Premiere for an invisible window profile

The Dutch villa is the world's first property in which VEKA ARTLINE 82 was used as the window profile. Not much convincing was needed: Both the architect and the client - who himself acted as project manager - knew about the technical advantages of high-quality PVC-U window profiles. The individual colour adjustment by means of a aluminium cover profile ensured that the colour tone of the water hammer and sunshade could be perfectly matched. This left nothing to be desired in terms of aesthetics.
