This profession with its secure future requires good technical understanding as well as a sense of responsibility, commitment and the willingness to work in shifts and as part of a team. During basic training you will learn all about plastics, their properties and their possible application.
Specialist areas include: materials science, production engineering, production control and quality control. You will learn a lot about the application of measurement and control techniques.
Technical training in extrusion will focus on the specific applications which - in the case of our plant in Sendenhorst - is, of course, the extrusion of window and roller shutter profiles and sheets. The machines operate fully automatically but need monitoring and potential faults eliminating.
After completion of the training, the process mechanic becomes the expert for the plastics processing industry. VEKA AG will offer him/her the opportunity to work in the individual extrusion fields as well as in profile converting, work scheduling, at the mixing plant or in the quality and raw material control.
