Industrial mechanics in industrial engineering carry out demanding tasks at various sites. Within the plant your activities will consist in keeping up or restoring the operational readiness of machines and systems.
Machines and systems must be inspected, maintained and repaired. This will include the dismantling and mounting of individual elements, components or subassemblies, trouble-shooting and functional testing.
In the course of your training you will get acquainted with the basics and the safe use of cutting-edge technologies such as hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics in the field of control technology.
Furthermore you will gain knowledge in the construction of jigs and fixtures, plant construction and structural steel engineering. You will also be trained in the field of metal cutting, from the manual through to the CNC operation of the respective machines. Joining techniques such as welding and soldering of different metals is an important and interesting subject throughout the term of your training.
