    In this profession, the applicant needs to have sound technical understanding, enjoy computer technology and be able to think logically and systematically.

    Previously separate fields like data processing, telecommunications technology and radio engineering, information technology, commercial functions and multimedia are combined in this profession.

    During training you will learn to plan and implement IT systems which are tailored to the customers' individual requirements. This means that you will install the relevant devices, components and networks including the power supply and get the systems up and running.

    You will develop customer-specific solutions by, for example, modifying hardware components or adapting software according to customer requirements. The training of customers on new products as well as the repair and maintenance of the extruders at VEKA AG will also be part of your area of responsibility.

    Possible professional aims:
    After completion of your training, you can work with VEKA as IT systems electronic engineers in the service and installation of information and communication systems department and you will be the qualified contact regarding all areas of the computer, software and telecommunications industry.
    • Training period: 3 years
    • Prerequisite: Entrance qualification for technical college followed by 2 years' attendance of a higher education college or A level.
    • Qualification: Examination before the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
    • Technical college: Vocational training school in Münster
