Tools Mechanic
The ideal qualities of a prospective tool mechanic are an interest in technology, patience, ambition and the ability to work neatly and precisely.
Your tasks: you will manufacture "tools" and devices of all kinds and assume responsibility for maintenance and repair. These are specially designed precision instruments for the production machines such as punching, cutting and embossing, forming, injection moulding and extrusion dies. You will make individual components according to drawings or join them together from prefabricated system elements.
For this purpose you must have mastered different techniques and machines such as for example manual or computer-aided milling and drilling machines as well as erosion and grinding machines.
Possible professional aims:
After completion of your training you will be integrated into highly motivated specialist groups as trained tool mechanics. The individual specialist groups at VEKA AG are responsible for the mechanical production, co-ordination, maintenance and repair of dies needed for the production of profiles and sheets.
A responsible position. If you show the right commitment and have the appropriate technical qualifications you could assume more responsibility at a later date, for example as group manager. A technical vocational training after training is an advantage. If required, special training courses will take place on all aspects of handling CNC machines.
